The World Affairs Council of Charlotte will host William (Bill) H. Rogers, Jr., President and COO of Truist Financial as part of the Council's CEO Series on January 30, 2020.

November 5: WACC Speaker Series with Dr. Volker Wissing, Chairman of the FDP and Vice-Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

The World Affairs Council of Charlotte will host Dr. Volker Wissing in partnership with Klaus Becker, Honorary Consul of Germany and the NC Zeitgesit Foundation. Dr. Wissing will share his insight on the current state of global trade, as well as the road ahead for Germany.

May 2: WACC Ambassadors Circle Dinner: A Panel with H.E. Dirk Wouters, Caroline Vicini, and other experts

The World Affairs Council of Charlotte will host the Ambassador of Belgium Deputy Head of Delegation of the EU to the US, and experts from The German Marshall Fund and the Center for a New American Security on May 2 as part of the Council's Ambassadors Circle Series. The panelists will discuss the current state and future of the US-European relationship.

April 4: WACC CEO Series with Tim Sloan, Chief Executive Officer and President (Oct. 2016- March 2019), Wells Fargo & Company

The World Affairs Council of Charlotte will host Tim Sloan, Chief Executive Officer and President of Wells Fargo & Company on April 4 as part of the Council's CEO Series. Tim will share his perspective on the economy, financial services, and leadership.

Nov. 1: WACC CEO Series with Gene Woods, President & CEO, Atrium Health

Join the World Affairs Council of Charlotte on November 1st as we host Gene A. Woods, President and CEO of Atrium Health. With more than 24 years of healthcare leadership, Woods has overseen both for-profit and non-profit hospitals and worked with a diverse array of delivery systems, including rural and urban facilities, academic and community-based facilities, as well as international operations in Mexico and Chile. In 2017 he served as chair of the American Hospital Association.

Oct 10: WACC CEO Series with Knudt Flor, President & CEO, BMW Manufacturing Co

Join the World Affairs Council of Charlotte on October 10th as we host Knudt Flor, President & CEO of BMW Manufacturing. BMW is currently the 4th most prosperous car manufacturer in the world.
