BMW Manufacturing — Making a Global Impact

Consumer behavior plays a paramount role in the future of the automotive industry. Today, data and analytics are used to improve efficiency and customer experience. Collecting and analyzing data from vehicles and social media allows corporations to gain insight into customer behavior and preferences.

The Big Picture: Data and analytics collected in the industry suggest that the automotive industry’s future is set to undergo a significant evolution. Future trends indicate a shift to electric and autonomous vehicles that have the benefits of specific technologies, such as reduced emissions and increased safety features. In addition, buying and leasing vehicles over several years may become a thing of the past as new drivers consider flex and subscription models on an as-need basis.

Challenges Ahead: The automotive industry will choose to accelerate e-mobility options in the car-making sector. Automotive manufacturing companies that can adapt to these changes and embrace new technologies will be well-positioned for success in the future. However, infrastructure and cybersecurity for autonomous vehicles must be addressed to ensure success and growth in the car-making industry.
