Join the World Affairs Council of Charlotte as we host Mohit Joshi, President of Infosys on Thursday, February 18, 2021 as part of the virtual WACC Distinguished Speakers Program.

In response to COVID-19, many financial institutions have enabled alternative working processes, served customers in new ways, enhanced digital offerings, and ensured the viability of systems across platforms.

Joshi will offer his insight into the future of technology in the banking industry, insurance companies, and stock exchanges that permit the exchange of funds and the critical nature of technological platforms that will also help promote economic growth and ongoing recovery.

Biography:

Mohit is the President for Infosys Ltd. He heads the Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences (FHL) business globally and
is the Chairman of EdgeVerve Systems – the software subsidiary of Infosys. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc.

Mohit has direct P&L responsibility for the FHL and EdgeVerve business which at USD 5.5 Billion in Annual revenues is over a third of Infosys’ global revenues. He leads Sales Operations and Effectiveness for Infosys and has executive responsibility for Large deals across the firm.

Mohit joined Infosys in 2000 and has since worked in different capacities for the firm. In his previous role, he was responsible for leading the Financial Services business in Europe. In 2007, Mohit was appointed as CEO of Infosys Mexico and was instrumental in setting up the first subsidiary in Latin America. Mohit is also a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc. He is a member of the Risk& Governance and
Nomination committees.

Mohit has previously worked in India with ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays in their Corporate and Investment bank. He holds a M.B.A from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and a Bachelor’s degree in history from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Mohit was invited to join the Global Young Leader program at the World Economic Forum in 2014. He is the Vice Chair of the Economic Growth Board of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) and is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization).

He lives with his wife and two daughters in London. Mohit has lived and worked in three continents across Asia, Europe and North America and this informs his work and career.
