TMS International Fun Run (May 19, 2016)

Join TMS for our International Fun Run at Triple C Brewing Company on Thursday, May 19th to stretch your legs, have a drink with friends, and show your colors! Dress in traditional clothing to represent the nations/countries of your choice for a proud display of colors during the fun run. Regale yourself in flags, paint your face, or don some national insignia and join us for Triple C's weekly run club. The run is designed so that participants can choose their own distance and will conclude back at Triple C Brewery.

TMS Global Social: International Paint Night (April 28, 2016)

Join The Magellan Society (Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte) for a special TMS Global Social at the Wine Palette on Thursday, April 28th. Come network and mingle with other internationally-minded young professionals from different backgrounds while painting international scenery. Enjoy a free glass of wine and snacks while we receive private group instruction by a professional artist, and leave with our finished masterpieces! Includes one free glass of wine, snacks, private group painting instruction, all materials, and your final product. Guests are welcome to bring their beverage of choice.

Join The Magellan Society, Young Professionals of the WACC, for a special Adventures in Dining Cooking Class and networking experience. Dr. Marie-Claire Marroum, current WACC Board Member, was born in Jerusalem and raised in Lebanon. She will share her culinary secrets in a fun and entertaining atmosphere in this hands-on Spanish themed cooking class. Participants will learn techniques for making items such as Paella. Come ready to learn from our expert international cook, sample traditional Spanish foods and wines while meeting other young professionals. This Adventures in Dining Cooking Class includes hands-on instruction, dinner comprising of cooking class dishes, wine and take-home recipes. Register today as space is limited!

Join The Magellan Society, Young Professionals of the WACC, and Charlotte Country Day School on May 6th as we host Anthea Rossouw, Founder of the Dreamcatcher Foundation. Anthea will discuss community empowerment barriers and projects in a post apartheid South America. Dreamcatcher provides opportunities for communities living in recurrent poverty to improve their quality of life and create a future in which they can thrive. Working in 20 different communities over the past two decades, the Foundation continually strives to eliminate barriers and develop opportunities, offering a "leg up" to self-sustenance and dignity, as opposed to taking a "hand out" approach.
