WorldQuest
The World Affairs Council of Charlotte created WorldQuest in 1997 as part of its international education outreach initiatives. Today, it has become a signature education program for councils around the country. Teams from local businesses, community groups, non-profit organizations, and higher education institutions compete in this international knowledge competition. Participants answer questions related to current events, geography, international politics, world history, and foreign policy.
This signature Council program is supported by Bank of America, Atrium Health, Albemarle Corporation, Infosys, and UNC Charlotte.
WorldQuest 2024 will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024
Proceeds from WQ 2024will benefit the following education outreach initiatives:
- Academic WorldQuest
- Council Scholar Award Program
- Global Student Leadership Program
- Euro Challenge
- Young Explorers Global Learning Competition
- Speaker in the Classroom
- International Career Panel
- Partnerships with local higher education institutions for International Education Week and the International Speaker Series Program
