International Women’s Day

In recognition of International Women’s Day, the World Affairs Council of Charlotte is honored to partner with Bank of America to celebrate the leadership, achievements, and influence of women worldwide. This collaboration brings attention to the many ways women are shaping our world through diplomacy, business, education, and civic engagement.

Together, we are hosting a series of conversations and events that explore the challenges women face and their contributions to every sector of society. From global security to economic growth, women are leading efforts that drive meaningful progress and lasting change.

By shining a light on their stories, experiences, and expertise, we aim to spark ideas, encourage dialogue, and recognize the critical role women play in building a stronger and more connected world.

March 12, 2025: WACC International Women’s Day — Women and Wealth

March 7, 2024: WACC International Women’s Day — #InspireInclusion

When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment. Please join the World Affairs Council of Charlotte and Bank of America on March 7 for a panel discussion to celebrate women, our achievements, and how we continue to fight for gender equality by creating and inspiring spaces for inclusion. Discover current and potential avenues and obstacles to creating gender inclusion in the workforce and society and learn how our panelists achieve inclusions and equity in the workplace and their personal lives. We will hear their stories articulating this year’s theme, recognizing that each person has different circumstances that require exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an inclusive environment and future.
