Allison Tarwater participated in a study tour, traveling throughout Spain focusing on major cultural centers. As a Spanish language teacher, she was eager to engage with locals to explore the different dialects and vocabulary throughout the country. Allison’s deeper understanding of the cultural influences that helped shape the language and its regional subtleties has helped her enhance the instructional curriculum in her classroom. Her travels equipped her with knowledge of the country which has now allowed her to organize and lead subsequent study abroad trips to Spain for her students.
